GOTHENBURG, NE – The Gothenburg Pony Express Rodeo is this Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th continuing on the tradition of hosting a premier rodeo for contest all around.
Both nights kick off at 7:30 pm with an 8:00 am slack both days.
Long-time member and former President of the Gothenburg Roping & Riding Club Jerry Schnacker talks about what can be expected at this year’s rodeo.
The Mutton Bustin’ will start at 5:30pm on Friday night with sign up at 5pm. There will also be a calf scramble during the rodeo on Friday.
Schnacker says rough stock will be provided by one of their tried-and-true partners.
New this year will be the announcer, Thad McDermott.
Admission to the rodeo is $12 for adults, 12 & under $6, 5 and under are free. Saturday’s showing is Freedom Night where all veterans and military get in for free.
