HASTINGS – The Adams County Fairfest kicked off Wednesday, July 15th and runs through Sunday, July 19th with plenty to do and see for all ages.
Molly Johnsen, the Adams County Fairgrounds Executive Director has been with the county for about four months now and says she was working at Hastings College for about 16 years before joining the Adams County Fairgrounds.
Johnsen says this year’s fair features many great food, craft, and other vendors.
Along with the vendors is the carnival that will run each night of the fair. Thursday and Friday starting at 6pm, Saturday and Sunday starting at 4pm, and closes at 10 pm each night.
Johnsen says wristbands for the carnival are $35 Thursday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday they are $40.
Adams County Fairfest also has a great lineup of concerts for 2026 with tonight, Thursday, July 16th, featuring Hairball, an explosive national touring act that brings the glory of the 80’s to hundreds of thousands of fans throughout the country. Hairball performs all of your favorite legendary hits – from Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey, Aerosmith, and more.
Johnsen gives the rundown for the rest of the fair for concert opportunities.
The fair closes out with Nebraska’s Roughest Rodeo at 6:30pm on Sunday, July 19th, with gates opening at 5:30pm. After the rodeo is the 4-H Dance at the Community Service Building at 9:30pm.
