York, Neb. — The York County Sheriff’s was contacted on Sunday, July 19 by a concerned individual alleging a potentially inappropriate relationship between a minor child and former educator.
The individual identified the suspect as 33-year-old Nathaniel Acton of York, Nebraska.
Coordination began with BraveBe Child Advocacy Center and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, where further investigative information was gathered.
As a result of the investigation, probable cause was developed to issue an arrest warrant for Acton, and a search warrant for his residences was obtained. Both warrants were served simultaneously on Tuesday July 21, and Acton was taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff’s Office said no further information about the case will be released due to the sensitive nature of the investigation.
Nathaniel Acton was lodged at York County Corrections for the following offenses:
• First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child
• First Degree Sexual Assault
• Child Enticement
• Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material
• Third Degree Sexual Assault of a Child
• Third Degree Sexual Assault
• Intentional Child Abuse
