New York, City-UNK track and field was well represented at the USA Track and Field Championships on Friday in New York City. Former Loper, Wes Ferguson won the men’s 800 meter second heat with a time of 1:45.17. He used a late kick to pull off the win. He will race again on Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm.
Nolan Studley and Lily Novacek also competed. Studley finished 13th in the high jump. Novacek placed 13th in the Hammer throw with a toss of 178 feet six inches.
