Oxford, Neb. — The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) will start a chip seal project on Monday, Aug. 3, weather depending. This work affects U.S. Highway 136 and Nebraska Highway 46. Chip sealing adds an asphalt binder and aggregate to the road surface.
Crews will work from reference post 9.73 to 10.83 on US-136 and from 7.96 to 11.91 on N-46. The project begins at the west corporate limits of Oxford. It’s expected to take two days. Flaggers and a pilot car will direct traffic.
NDOT urges drivers to stay alert in work zones, wear seatbelts and put away cell phones.
