The Furnas County Fair took place July 14th through the 18th. During the fair’s livestock Premium Auction, the families of two former 4-H members, who passed earlier this year, sold a hog and a lamb in hopes to raise money for the newly added Furnas County Fallen 4-Her Scholarship. Mikayla Livginston, the Furnas County 4-H Extension Assistant, talks about how the scholarship was created.
The scholarship continues to receive more donations, sitting at close to $60,000.
Livingston talks about who the scholarship is intended for.
