Kearney’s new indoor football team has announced the league they will compete in.
Today, the American Arena League announced that the Tri-City Horsemen will compete in the league in the 2027 season as an expansion team.
Previously when the Tri-City Horsemen were based in Nampa, Idaho; they competed in the National Arena League.
In July, the Horsemen announced that they were moving to the Viaero Center in Kearney and competing in the 2027 season, after being dormant in the 2026 season. The team had been linked to the National Arena League when the move announcement was made, but the league came out with a statement in late July saying the Tri-City Horsemen would not be competing in the league for the 2027 season.
In the 2026 season, the American Arena League had teams competing in Mississippi; New Jersey; Columbus, Georgia; and Wheeling, West Virginia.
