BUFFALO COUNTY — The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office handled more than 1,400 calls for service, and the county’s 911 center answered nearly 2,000 emergency calls during July, according to the department’s monthly activity report.
The Sheriff’s Office reported 1,462 calls for service during the month, along with 246 case reports and 302 traffic stops.
Deputies also completed 22 motor vehicle crash investigation reports, issued 35 citations, and recorded 258 warnings or defective-vehicle notices.
The Buffalo County 911 Center responded to 1,969 calls in July.
At the Buffalo County Jail, 165 inmates were booked during the month.
Court services also remained active, with 406 civil papers received and 90 new warrants processed. The Sheriff’s Office processed 12 protection orders and completed 128 motor vehicle inspections.
Deputies conducted 105 registered sex offender verifications or updates and 55 sex offender home compliance checks.
The office also reported that 11 newly sentenced felons were transported to the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services during July.
The Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office released the statistics as part of its ongoing effort to provide information about law enforcement and public safety activity in the county.
