U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins is scheduled to speak at the Nebraska State Fair on August 31 along with remarks from Ricketts and Sen. Deb Fischer as they discuss federal issues involving Nebraska.
The Federal Issues Forum has become an annual event at the State Fair.
“This year, we are celebrating 250 years of American freedom,” Ricketts said in announcing the event. “The Federal Issues Forum is an opportunity to honor our nation and discuss how we are working to build the next 250 years. I encourage all Nebraskans to attend.”
Rollins has made a number of visits to Nebraska during her time leading USDA, including a spring visit to see wildfire damage in western Nebraska.
Ricketts’ Federal Issues Forum is being organized through his Senate office and is separate from campaign-related activities.
