Kearney’s Jake Bosshammer has announced where he will be playing college baseball after his time in high school is up. The senior from Kearney Catholic will play at the University of Nebraska – Omaha next year.
In his junior season, Bosshammer had a 3.19 ERA with the most innings thrown amongst the Kearney High Bearcats pitching corps, who went 15-15 last season. On the hitting side, he went .217 with 15 RBIs. He also has competed with the Kearney American Legion team and the Nebraska Prospects.
Bosshammer is the second Kearney Baseball player to announce plans to play Division 1 this month. Incoming Junior Will Kaskie committed to Nebraska on August 6, and was the first Husker recruit for the class of 2028.
