UNK Volleyball was tied for first with the Washburn Ichabods in the MIAA Preseason Volleyball Coaches Poll, as released by the conference late Monday afternoon.
While the Lopers and the Ichabods were tied for first, Washburn recieved one more first place vote over UNK. Missouri Western and Emporia State both received two first place votes.
UNK, Missouri Western, and Washburn split the 2025 regular season title with a 13-3 record, and the Lopers won the MIAA Tournament title, the first one held by the conference since 2019.
UNK starts the season on Thursday against Colorado Mesa in the Dallas Classic. Conference play starts on September 16 at Fort Hays, and UNK’s home conference opener is on September 25 against Emporia State.
