Amherst Volleyball libero Breckyn Veskerna has committed to the Minnesota State – Moorhead Dragon volleyball program.
As the libero for the defending D1 state champions, Veskerna had 521 digs last season, alongside 33 assists and 20 aces. She was first team all Fort Kearny Conference and was named the Class D1 libero of the year by Hurrdat publication Nebpreps.
Veskerna also plays club volleyball for Nebraska Volleyball Academy.
Amherst starts their title defense this Thursday with a triangular hosted by Elm Creek with Ansley-Litchfield, followed by the Minden tournament on Saturday.
The MSU – Moorhead Dragons compete in one of the tougher D2 volleyball conferences in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. Last season the Dragons went 14-15 (7-13 NSIC).
