GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Two Grand Island residents were arrested after police reportedly found controlled substances and a deadly weapon during a traffic stop Friday.
Grand Island police conducted the stop around 5:20 p.m. Aug. 21 near Third and Adams streets.
Police said they arrested the driver, 53-year-old Matthew Stark, and his passenger, 45-year-old Crystal Dahlke, and booked them into the Hall County Jail.
Dahlke was wanted on a Hall County warrant. During the investigation, officers reportedly located controlled substances and a deadly weapon.
Stark was arrested on suspicion of possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
Dahlke was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and failure to obtain a drug tax stamp. She also faces a charge alleging possession of between 28 and 139 grams of methamphetamine, along with a separate possession-with-intent-to-distribute allegation connected to the Hall County warrant.
The allegations are subject to prosecution in court. Neither Stark nor Dahlke has been convicted in connection with this incident.
