Lincoln-For a third straight game Nebraska couldn’t hold a fourth quarter lead and lost at home to Washington on Saturday night 17-10. The Huskies did the same thing that both Indiana and Oregon had earlier this season. Chris Lawson scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 25-yard catch-and-run with 1:30 left and Alex McLaughlin returned Anthony Colandrea‘s third interception of the game 48 yards to help put the game away for the Huskies.
Nebraska earlier in the fourth quarter had 1st and goal from the Washington five and came away with no points after they missed a short field goal. On Washington’s go ahead drive they faced 4th and 18 and the Huskers couldn’t make the stop. Nebraska is now just 5-3 on the season. The Huskers play at Illinois this upcoming Friday night.
