BROKEN BOW – A local business specializing in customized embroidery, laser engraving and personalized gifts is celebrating six years of creating unique products for customers across the region.
Backroad Brand, owned by Holly Brohman, celebrated a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, November 5, 2026, hosted by the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce to welcome the business as a new chamber member.
Located between Broken Bow and Callaway, Backroad Brand is finishing its sixth year in business and will begin their seventh year in January.
Brohman said the business started with a passion for hats and embroidery, along with an interest in helping promote other businesses.
“I just really liked hats and embroidering hats, and we have a huge ranching, farming community in the marketing aspect of all of those things,” Brohman said. “I also enjoy the creative side that you can get to work with other people doing the same thing and helping them promote their business.”
Backroad Brand has expanded over the years, growing from one small embroidery machine to additional equipment and laser engraving capabilities.
Products
The business offers customized embroidery, laser engraving, personalized gifts, printed T-shirts, cattle ear tags, hats, employee apparel, trophies and other specialty items.
Brohman said the laser engraving equipment allows for a wide variety of projects including leather, wood, cowhide rugs and even the bills of hats. The business also creates customized cattle tages featuring numbers, brands, phone numbers and names.
“We’re constantly evolving and changing all the times,” Brohman said.
One of the reasons Brohman recently joined the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce is to become more involved in meeting the Broken Bow community’s changing needs, particularly for awards, trophies and other personalized items.
Brohman said the business generally works about two to three weeks ahead, depending on the size and number of orders. With the holiday season approaching, she encourages customers to begin planning personalized gifts and placing orders early.
The business also offers services to customers outside the immediate area, shipping customized products to other Nebraska communities as well as Colorado and Kansas.
Rather than maintaining traditional business hours, Brohman works primarily by appointment and encourages customers to reach out even during the evenings.
“The best part about our business is we really don’t have business hours,” Brohman said. “If you’re sitting in the combine at 7:00pm and you think, hey, maybe I need some hats or you need vest or, you know, something for your employees or whatever the case may be, we have a lot of people reach out to us after 5:00pm.”
Customers can contact Backroad Brand through their Facebook page, Instagram, TikTok and on their website.
Brohman said customers can also reach out by phone (402) 984 – 9467 to ask questions or arrange an appointment to visit the shop.
